Looking Three Times at the Thatched Hut

Yesterday Unhinged is a blog about history, culture and civilization. I’ve had the urge to do a podcast for quite a while. With limited time on my hands, the blog will have to be a surrogate, much like getting a dog instead of a baby, or vice versa.

The 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination, the 20th anniversary of the release of Wu-Tang’s Enter the 36 Chambers and the birth of my first child (I wanted a dog) all fell within a month of each other, inspiring me to use my time off to good measure.

What you can expect to find here are completely random findings, musings, images, stories, myths and all other sort of flotsam and jetsam that our civilizations, both past and present, have left behind.

History’s been a long time in the making. Some of it was amazing. Some of it was horrific. Most of it was dull. I hope to share all that and more. I hope you enjoy visiting the blog as much as I enjoy making it and I hope you come again. And if you’d like to contribute in any way, send me an e-mail at yesterday.unhinged@gmail.com.

Thanks for visiting.

Aaron

Aaron, this sounds great. I am touched that you would follow my little blog. My professor husband says I have a journalist’s interest in things…who, what, when, where, and maybe why, then off to the next topic! Anyway, you get the picture! I hope you will find topics , though limited, that interest you and please feel free to add, correct or comment! Namaste. . . .

    • I wouldn’t put the word little anywhere near your blog. My wife is fascinated with India and when our boy gets older we hope to make a journey there….one day.

What a lovely thing to say! I have found that there are two kinds of people…..those who loved India or can’t wait to go and those at the other end of the spectrum…hated it or couldn’t image who would want to go! I would encourage you to travel with your little guy. We took our children to live in Rome and traveled all over Europe. Now I can’t imagine how we did it!
Please tell you wife I would be happy to email her to answer questions or have her suggest posts that she would be interested in! I love talking about incredible India! Namaste. . . anne.t.bell@gmail.com .

History, however dull, horrific has made today; ‘Lest we forget’ though sadly history is repeating itself in the many meaningless wars going on and brutality on a global scale not officially classified as war

Thank you for visiting my blog and your kind comment, whilst my blog is mostly about photographic travel, there will be a fair bit of history thrown in.
